Cases
- Mr. MacGregor recently counseled a restaurant corporation branch with over seven hundred employees regarding updating and maintaining their I-9 compliance documents. As a result, the human resources department implemented a compliant and searchable database which allows the company to instantly access employment verification data.
- In a recent affirmative asylum application, Mr. MacGregor submitted extensive briefs and supporting documentation for a journalist fleeing torture by Maoist insurgents. A grant of asylum was recommended by the interviewing officer and the applicant is now safe in the United States.
- In Immigration Court, Mr. MacGregor last year defended a detained disabled man whose wife and two children are United States citizens. The man was released from Immigration detention and at trial was granted a waiver from removal, preserving his ‘green card’ and reuniting the family.
